For These Condos in S. Florida, the Deal is 50% Down

NEW YORK -Jorge Perez crashed along with the real estate market, then regained his crown as Florida's "Condo King" by building projects with 50 percent deposits from foreign buyers.Now, he'slooking to wealthy Americans. In December, he will begin marketing the Auberge Beach Residences and Spa Fort Lauderdale, a $soo million oceanfront project. He expects as many as two-thirds of the buyers to come from the United States or Canada.All future owners must pay hefty deposits to finance construction by Perez's Related Group, Fortune International Group, and Fairwinds Group -a partnership announced last week.

Related Fortune International and Fairwinds Partner to Develop Landmark Condo Project on Fort Lauderdale’s Best Beachfront parcel.

The Related Group and Fortune International Group,both based in Miami,announced their partnership with The Fairwinds Group of Fort Lauderdale to develop a distinctive 171-unit beachfront condominium property in Fort Lauderdale on a 4.6-acre site that is the former home of Ireland's Inn Beach Resort. The first project of its kind in Fort Lauderdale,Auberge Beach Residences and Spa will be the most refined high-rise and only on-the-sand luxury resi­dential offering in the destination.

Ina Lee, president, Travelhost Elite of Greater Fort Lauderdale The iconic Ireland's Inn will be redeveloped into the Auberge Beach Residences & Spa, a super luxury condominium project that will include two restau­rants and a spa open to the public. The partnership of The Related Group, Fortune International and The Fairwinds Group is creating the most expensive project in Fort Lauderdale. It will be managed by Auberge Resorts Collection, famous for its luxury, boutique hospital­ity.
